William Hill will be offering betting on the colour of the
Queens Hat at Royal Ascot Ladies Day, 2009

ANOTHER HAT GAMBLE IS LANDED
Yet again, Royal punters are toasting Her Majesty the Queen as the Monarch landed a gamble for her supporters when wearing a predominantly white hat on Ladies Day at Royal Ascot.
With a white hat backed in from 20-1 to 10-1 with bookies William Hill yesterday, the punters were a step a-head in predicting The Queens choice a full 24 hours before Ladies Day.
William Hill spokeswoman Jennie Prest said, "we struck a number of three figure bets in a short space of time on Wednesday afternoon and are now facing a decent payout. It's the third time in five years that royal followers have guessed right and landed a touch on this event!"
"Some punters appear to have a crystal ball when it comes to The Queens choice of hat. The alarm bells start ringing when we get a lot of demand for one particular colour, we were being deafened yesterday and we have been left quite white in the face from being caught out yet again."
Hills Bet for the Predominant Colour of The Queens Hat On Ladies Day 2010: 3-1 Blue, 5-1 Pink, 6-1 Green, 6-1 Purple, 8-1 Yellow, 10-1 Turquoise, 10-1 White, 14-1 Cream / Beige, 16-1 Brown, 20-1 Peach, 20-1 Red, 20-1 Silver, 25-1 Black, 25-1 Orange

Camille Roman's black crochet lace hat has won the inaugural 'Who Wants To Be A Millin-aire' competition, announced at Royal Ascot today.
Her creation was a unanimous decision for the judges who were impressed with the originality of the style as well as the skill that had gone in to making the intricate lace design.
Camille, a professional milliner from London, beat over 500 entries made in to the Royal Ascot competition, organized by website queens-hat.com.
7 shortlisted entries were invited to Ascot for the judges to make the final decision, with amateur designer Jon Harvy Santos taking the runner up spot with his black and white fascinator.
The judges, Hollywood actress Emma Samms, milliner and Britain's Next Top Model judge Louis Mariette, Ascot Tv's milliner Yvette Jelfs and John Lewis's millinery buyer Anna Bray were very impressed with all the finalists but 25 year old Camille's hat shone through. All the finalists hats will be available in John Lewis's Oxford Street store for a limited time.
Also present was Vladimir Stratciuc, whose blue voile and butterfly design won the special category of 'Best Design Inspired By the Starlight Children's Foundation. Modelled by Starlight's founder and Milli-naire judge Emma Samms the hat will now be available for the public to bid for in an online silent auction via www.queens-hat.com with all the money raised going directly to the charity.
